Bahubali is an epic action film with two parts (bahubali:the beginner & bahubali:the conclusion) as the whole story directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Shobu yarlagadda and Prasad devineni. The film was made on a budget of 180 crores, making the most expensive Indian film at it’s time of release. Bahubali is a record breaking box office success. The film was shot in both Telugu and Tamil, also dubbed into Malayalam and Hindi. The film cast involves the Indian film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati,Anushka shetty and Tamanna as the leading roles with Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj and Nasar as their supporting roles. The film was achieved with a world wide box office gross of Rs 650 crores and it has became the third highest grossing Indian film in world wide and highest grossing south indian film.
Telugu cinema never witnessed such a great movie in their entire film history until bahubali was released. The film can be added to the category of historical romance. The film highlights the place and settings such as the palaces, the huge statue, the beautiful waterfalls etc. The story is fantasy based starting by introducing the protogonist of the story Prabhas as ‘Mahendra bahubali’.
On the backdrop of a mighty water fall, an old yet royal lady (Sivagami) tries desperately to save a baby from a few attacking soldiers, but dies in the process. A tribal chief and his wife adopt that baby boy as their son. A child from Mahishmathi kingdom is raised by the tribal people of that region near the great waterfall and one day he learns who he is actually and his royal heritage also about his father’s bravery in battle and a mission to overthrow the holding ruler. The warrior boy, Shivudu who learns his past and awaits his destiny.He plans to revenge the enemy ballavadeva (Rana Dagubatti) on realizing that ballavdeva killed his father. The story is set in and around the fictional kingdom of Mahishmati.
The part two continues with the story of his father again the leading role by Prabhas as ‘Amerandhra bahubali’. Kattappa (Sathyaraj) continues to narrate how he ended up killing Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas). Bhallaladeva is later defeated by Baahubali and burnt alive on a pyre prepared by Devasena(Anushka Shetty). Ending the cruel regime of Bhallaladeva, Baahubali becomes the new King of Mahishmati with Avantika(Tamanna) as his queen, declaring peace and harmony.
The film is well made with everything perfect and real.As each characters showed at what extend they can go with acting.Bahubali was a cinematic celebration and it is a film that deserves to be watched on the largest screen ever possible.
